An apparatus includes a mount 450a supporting a pedal 166a and rotatably engaging a crank arm 162a, a resilient member 448a (e.g. spring) fixed to the mount 450a, and a bracket 444a coupled between the mount 450a and the resilient member 448a. The bracket 444a selectively mechanically locks the mount in first and second positions relative to the crank arm. The first position of the mount locates the pedal in an operating position away from the crank arm (figure 7A), and the second position of the mount locates the pedal in a storage position along the crank arm (figure 7C). The bracket 444a may mechanically lock in first and second positions via a pair of apertures 446a located in the bracket 444a which may receive one of a first or second pair of studs 440a,442a located at the end and side surfaces of the crank arm 162a. The bracket 444a may be manually operable and the mount 450a may be adapted to support a plurality of pedal types. |
