PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of always properly keeping printing conditions by stably conveying paper when printing even though a grip roller is not used.SOLUTION: The printer performs printing as follows. While feeding the paper 1 delivered from a paper feeding roll 1a in a state where the paper 1 is superposed on an ink ribbon 2 to a printing position P set between a platen roller 4 and a printing head 3, a signal is given to the printing head 3 from a printing head controller 36 so as to perform printing operation. The printer includes a paper feeding roll driving means 5, and is configured to make rotational speed of the paper feeding roll 1a driven by the paper feeding roll driving means 5 regulate conveying speed of the paper 1 at the printing position, and also configured to perform speed correction for printing while keeping relative relation between the conveying speed of the paper 1 and printing operation speed of the printing head 3 identical to at least either the rotational speed of the paper feeding roll 1a or the printing operation speed of the printing head 3. |
