There is provided a locator system that facilitates registration of a calling apparatus to be added and a locator. Portable unit (2) communicates with base unit (1) with a DECT protocol. Moreover, portable unit (2) serves as a calling apparatus that transmits a call signal to locator (3) to be attached to an item with a locator protocol. Portable unit (2) transmits registration information to base unit (1) by wireless communication as being triggered by registration with locator (3) in one-to-one correspondence being ended. In a case where a request is received from portable unit (4) as a calling apparatus to be added, base unit (1) transmits stored registration information received from portable unit (2) to portable unit (4). Portable unit (4) stores the registration information received from base unit (1).
