PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress destabilization of a voltage applied to a motor during battery-less traveling control.
SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle includes an engine, motor, generator, battery electrically connected to the motor and a generator, and transmission disposed between the motor and an output shaft connected to drive wheels. When the battery fails, an ECU separates the battery from an electric system including the motor and generator, and carries out "battery-less traveling control" under which the motor is driven with electric power generated by the generator using motive power from the engine to cause the vehicle to run. When a request for changeover to the battery-less traveling control is made (YES at S20) and the speed change gear of the transmission is shifted to a low-speed stage Lo (YES at S24), the ECU shifts the speed change gear from the low-speed stage Lo to a high-speed stage Hi (S25), thereby makes it hard for a motor control mode to change over to a rectangular control mode during the battery-less traveling control.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
