<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of suppressing deterioration of image quality and coping with various aspect ratios, while suppressing upsizing of a device. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the projector 1 which displays an image on a surface 10a to be irradiated, by using light emitted from a light source part, wherein the projector 1 includes: an optical modulation element that modulates the light emitted from the light source part according to an image signal; a first optical system 4 that refracts the light modulated by the optical modulation element; a second optical system 6 that includes at least one concave mirror 31 reflecting the light refracted by the first optical system to achieve a wide angle; and an aspect ratio conversion part 8 that is arranged in an optical path between the optical modulation element and the second optical system, and converts the aspect ratio of the image displayed on the surface to be irradiated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
