1. A slot machine comprising:
a reel unit including a plurality of mechanical reels having symbols on an outer circumferential side, a plurality of motors for driving the plurality of mechanical reels, and a backlight unit being provided on an inner circumferential side of the mechanical reels, the backlight unit being configured to execute an effect regarding the game and the reel unit being configured to display a result of a game by drivingly rotating the mechanical reels to rearrange the symbols; a storage device configured to store a plurality of indication effect random determination tables and data for indication effects including sound data, each of the plurality of indication effect random determination tables including a plurality of effect combinations and a plurality of timings assigned to the plurality of effect combinations respectively, each of the plurality of effect combinations coupled with one or more of the indication effects and the plurality of effect combinations being associated with probabilities; and a controller by which the game starts, the controller being provided within the slot machine, the controller being programmed to execute the steps, as a result of a bet having been made, of: (A) randomly determining the symbols to be rearranged on the reel unit; (B) determining a combination formed by the symbols determined in the step (A); (C) selecting an indication effect random determination table based on the combination determined in the step (B) from among the plurality of indication effect random determination tables, and randomly selecting an effect combination to be executed before the symbols are rearranged on the reel unit from among the plurality of effect combinations included in the selected indication effect random determination table; and (D) executing the effect combination selected in the step (C) at a timing assigned to the selected effect combination, wherein at least one of the plurality of effect combinations includes an indication effect for a silent effect or a delay effect, and wherein, in a case that the effect combination selected in the step (C) includes the indication effect for the silent effect or the delay effect, when at least one of the plurality of reels is stopped, the controller outputs a data containing no sound to execute the indication effect for the silent effect or the delay effect.
