There is disclosed an apparatus for treating a sexual dysfunctional female patient, comprising an implanted stimulation device adapted to stimulate at least a part of the sexually responsive tissue of the vulva or the wall of the vagina of the patient by movement of said stimulation device and contact between said stimulation device and the sexually responsive tissue or the wall of the vagina. A system and an operation method for the treatment of female sexual dysfunction are also disclosed. |

1. A method of placing and using an at least one stimulation device for treating a sexual dysfunctional female patient, comprising the steps of:
a) creating an opening in the skin or vaginal wall of the female patient, b) dissecting an area of the sexually responsive tissue including the area of the at least one corpus cavernosum, and c) placing the at least one stimulation device within the at least one corpus cavernosum, adapted to postoperatively create movements and stimulate said sexually responsive tissue by said movements, on patient command. |
