Disclosed are a method for signal design in a wireless communication system and an apparatus thereof. A design method for a transmitting signal includes the steps of: generating a first sequence having a convex (or concave) signal pattern, generating a second sequence satisfying predetermined auto-correlation and cross-correlation characteristics, and generating a transmitting signal based on the first sequence and the second sequence. Thus, a transmitting signal robust to a frequency offset can be designed.
