The present invention relates to a steering controlling system and a controlling method thereof. The steering controlling system includes a steering motor assisting a steering force of a steering wheel and performing a haptic function generating the vibration of the steering wheel; a haptic signal generating unit generating haptic signals to generate vibration in the steering wheel when preset haptic function performing conditions satisfy; a torque sensor sensing torque generated when steering the steering wheel; a filter removing torque components due to the vibration generated when performing the haptic function from the torque sensed by the torque sensor and outputting control signals applied to the steering motor. The present invention obtains the haptic function by using the steering motor, thereby reducing production cost and removing additional design processes and assembling processes. In addition, the present invention removes the additional torque components from the torque signals outputted by the torque sensor using the filter, thereby stably generating the haptic vibration and stably performing a steering control.
