The present invention relates to a system and a method for providing a coupon service. According to an embodiment of the present invention the system for providing a coupon service comprises: an issuer server requesting the issuing of a coupon including activation conditions to a coupon management server and determining whether the activation conditions of the coupon are satisfied or not; a coupon management server generating and transmitting a coupon including an inactive personal identification number (PIN) to a user terminal based on the request of the issuer server to transmit an activating signal which converts the inactive PIN into an active PIN to the user terminal when the satisfaction of the activation conditions is confirmed; and a customer terminal transmitting the PIN of the coupon submitted by the user terminal to the coupon management server to request the approval of the use of the coupon.
