<p>A data transmission apparatus is provided, which is capable of performing good communication with a noncontact data carrier under the circumstances where pulse noise is generated. A noise detection circuit in a reader/writer detects a generation period of noise contained in received signals. A communication time calculating circuit calculates estimated time for communication to be performed for an IC card. A timing signal generation unit determines transmission start timing based on the noise generation period and the estimated communication time.</p> |
