PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weighted impact buffer which can suppress a rear panel from being bent with an intermediate part thereof as a fulcrum with respect to a vertical direction. ! SOLUTION: An impact buffer which is attached to a rear surface of a rear panel fixed from a rear side to a lower back and a floor pan vertically arranged in a vehicle rear part, comprises: a base plate 52 with a shape of covering the rear surface of the rear panel; and a plurality of longitudinal ribs R1 arranged at positions across the lower back and the floor pan in the vertical direction with respect to the base plate. The longitudinal ribs are continuous in the vertical direction and arranged with an interval.
