A light adjusting system (10) comprises: a plurality of illumination devices (11-14) disposed in correspondence with a plurality of areas (A-D) to be illuminated; a plurality of terminal units (31-34) that are connected to the corresponding illumination devices (11-14) respectively, and that control the luminance of the corresponding illumination devices (11-14); and one control unit (40) that controls the operation of the plurality of terminal units (31-34). The control unit (40) sends, to each terminal unit (31-34), a control signal that includes a luminance instruction signal corresponding to the luminance of the illumination devices (11-14) which is set for each of the areas (A-D). On the basis of the control signal from the control unit (40), the plurality of terminal units (31-34) cause the corresponding illumination devices (11-14) to emit light at a prescribed luminance which is in accordance with the luminance instruction signal. |
