PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device which can suitably maintain liquid jet performance of a liquid jet head by wiping a nozzle forming surface of the liquid jet head for jetting a liquid.SOLUTION: A wiping device 70 performs first wiping movement of wiping a nozzle forming surface 32 by a first surface 74a with a contact pressure of a wiper 74 to the nozzle forming surface 32 as a first contact pressure in a state in which a pressure of a liquid in a nozzle 31 is made to be an atmospheric pressure or higher by driving a pressurizing part, and second wiping movement of wiping the nozzle forming surface 32, which has been wiped by the first surface 74a, by a second surface 74b with the contact pressure of the wiper 74 to the nozzle forming surface 32 as a second contact pressure which is less than the first contact pressure. |
