PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for controlling whether to edit document data, by page of the document data, in place of a document management server which controls whether to edit the document data by document data.SOLUTION: On receipt of an instruction from a user to edit a page constituting document data, an image processing server 101 transmits a request to a document management server 102 to acquire the document data. The document management server 102 transmits the document data to the image processing server 101. The image processing server 101 divides the document data by page. The image processing server checks out so as to prevent a page designated by the user from being edited by a user different from the above user.
