PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a sheet type and properly calculate a value to be set to a machine operation parameter for a current sheet type to be used in an image forming apparatus, even when past history of the image forming apparatus, which is consulted in calculating the value to be set to the machine operation parameter, is insufficient.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus accumulates operation setting history information including a value to be set to a machine operation parameter in the apparatus, on an operation setting history information storage section 13. When the number of samples of the operation setting history information on a current sheet type category is less than a threshold, an operation setting correction amount calculation section 14 acquires distribution information on the values to be set to the machine operation parameters in a plurality of image forming apparatuses of the same model, for each of the current sheet type category and sheet type categories adjacent thereto, to calculate a value to be set to the machine operation parameter of the current sheet type category, on the basis of a relation with the operation setting history information on the sheet type category adjacent to the current sheet type category. |
