PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle optical transmission/reception device that can be installed on the inner surfaces of windshields of vehicles of partial models and also enables the installation on vehicles of the other remaining models.SOLUTION: An optical beacon unit 1 is attached to the inside of a vehicle and transmits/receives an optical signal with an optical beacon arranged outside the vehicle. Each PD 31 receives an optical signal from the optical beacon and each LED 32 transmits an optical signal to the optical beacon. A board 30 mounts the PDs 31 and the LEDs 32, and a housing 10 stores the board 30. The housing 10 includes: an instrument panel adhesion surface 51 that can adhere onto the upper surface of the instrument panel of the vehicle so as to allow the PDs 31 and the LEDs 32 to face the optical beacon; and a windshield adhesion surface 21 that can adhere onto the inner surface of the windshield of the vehicle so as to allow the PDs 31 and the LEDs 32 to face the optical beacon. |
