PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition and a film for optical waveguide formation that are soluble in an alkaline aqueous solution and excellent in pattern formation, and an optical waveguide manufactured using them that is excellent in transparency and environmental reliability. ! SOLUTION: A resin composition for optical waveguide formation includes (A) a polymer having an alkali-soluble group, (B) an ethylenically unsaturated compound, and (C) a polymerization initiator. The (B) composition includes: (B1) a compound having at least three or more ethylenically unsaturated groups; and (B2) a compound having a group reactive with the alkali-soluble group of the (A) composition and the ethylenically unsaturated group.
