An automatic packet capture method and apparatus, comprising: on the basis of ID information sent by a media gateway controller MGC, a media gateway MGW determines media resources, including the MGW internal media stream, requiring packet capture, and the packet capture point information corresponding to said media resources; and on the basis of the packet capture point information, the MGW implements packet capture of the media resources. The automatic packet capture method and apparatus of the technical solution of the present invention, by means of automatically capturing all the media resources of an entire call process, facilitate media fault analysis during the call initial stage; packet capture of the media resources on the MGW can precisely locate media resources having abnormalities. |
