In order to cut a laminated glass sheet (1) into laminated glass panes, thermal stress is created in the glass of the glass panes (2, 3) of the laminated glass sheet (1) in the region of the cutting line (5) by locally supplying heat so that the laminated glass sheet (1) is cut into two laminated glass panes, force being additionally applied if necessary. Heating elements (6) that emit infrared or laser beams can be used for locally heating the sheet (1), in particular without interruption along the entire length of the cutting line (5). Preferably, the heating elements (6) are located on both sides of the laminated glass sheet (1). |
