<p>A wave generator (5) of a flat wave gear device (1) is provided with: a plug (6) provided with an outer peripheral surface (6a) having an elliptical contour; and a ball bearing (7) fitted to the outer peripheral surface (6a). The outer ring width (W(10)) of the ball bearing (7) is a value in the range of 60-100% of the face width (W(4a)) of external teeth (4a). Furthermore, the centre of the outer ring (10) in the width direction and the centre of the external teeth (4a) in the face width direction are positioned in the ball centre (O(9)) of the ball bearing (7). In this flat wave gear device, stiffness of the support of an externally toothed gear by the wave generator can be improved.</p> |
