PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for handling activation and deactivation of a secondary serving cell.SOLUTION: A method for wireless communication in a multi-cell capable wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) comprises: determining a status of a secondary serving cell when the WTRU is configured to receive different data concurrently from an anchor serving cell and the secondary serving cell, where the anchor serving cell and the secondary serving cell are each associated with each hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) entity having a HARQ buffer; and flushing the HARQ buffer associated with the secondary serving cell under a condition that the secondary serving cell is disabled.
