<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TBM that reduces propagation of vibrations, generated when the tunnel boring machine (TBM) excavates an underground area, to ground.SOLUTION: In a shield-type tunnel boring machine A, buffer materials 4 and 16 for vibration control are installed in a cutter head 2 ahead of the machine A, and a part or the whole of either of the outer periphery or inside of a skin plate 9 in a tunnel boring machine body 1 continuously provided in the rear of the cutter head. Thus, vibrations propagated to a ground surface or into an underground area through the ground are attenuated.</p> |
