<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device that can project a projection image with sufficient brightness from immediately after the start of the projection.SOLUTION: There is provided a projection type display device having a light source and including light source temperature adjustment means for adjusting the temperature of the light source and pre-projection start operation detection means for detecting an operation before the start of projection, and when a result of the detection by the pre-projection start operation detection means is determined as an operation before the start of the projection, the projection type display device starts the adjustment of the temperature of the light source, and when an operation to start projection is not performed within a specified time, ends the adjustment of the temperature of the light source.</p> |
