1. A system for decision support, comprising
a path unit for determining a determined path through a decision tree that leads to a determined recommendation node comprising a determined recommendation, wherein the decision tree comprises condition nodes and recommendation nodes, wherein a condition node comprises a condition associated with a particular branch of the decision tree, and wherein a recommendation node comprises a recommendation associated with one or more conditions of one or more condition nodes on a path towards the recommendation node, and wherein the path unit is arranged for taking into account the conditions of the condition nodes on the path by evaluating the conditions based on a set of parameters; an explanation unit for generating an explanation of a reason for the determined recommendation based on at least one of the condition nodes on the path that leads to the recommendation node; a proposal input unit for enabling a user to indicate a proposed action; a node determining unit for determining a recommendation node whose recommendation corresponds to the proposed action, the latter recommendation node being referred to herinafter as the proposed action node; a proposal path unit for determining a path through the decision tree that leads to the proposed action node, the latter path being referred to hereinafter as the proposed path; and a violation indicating unit for indicating to the user at least one condition of a condition node on the proposed path that is violated by the set of parameters. |
