The present invention relates to: a technique for forming a complicated component requiring high strain by respectively adjusting different amounts of hydrostatic pressure so as to apply the adjusted pressure to both surfaces of a sheet; and an apparatus therefor, and can be advantageously used for forming a metallic thin plate, such as a metal separator of a fuel cell, as a component having a labyrinth flow channel, without local defects or rupturing. To this end, the present invention enables the forming of a sheet component requiring higher strain compared with that in a conventional sheet forming technique, by calculating the inflow of an extra material prior to forming in consideration of an area ratio of a final component and a material, applying hydrostatic pressure, to the sheet, from a mold having the shape of the final component to ensure the inflow of the extra material, and subsequently applying high pressure to an opposite side of the sheet such that the previously ensured inflow of the extra material is consumed in molding the shape of the final component. |
