PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary holding device of a transported object, which is provided at a transport device having a first transport path and a second transport path located below the first transport path, and thereby reduce a burden of a worker and inhibit the occurrence of wasteful work hours. ! SOLUTION: A temporary holding device 10 includes: a holding part 20; and a guide part 70. The holding part 20 may be switched between a first state where the holding part 20 holds a transported object M moved to the lateral side of a first transport path 101 and a second state where the holding part 20 dissolves the first state and releases the transported object M held thereby.
