providing a solid work piece, said work piece being an outdoor-environment exposed vehicular component selected from the group consisting of: a wheel, a body panel, and exterior trim; sputter depositing at least one metal alloy coating on at least a portion of said work piece, said metal alloy coating comprising:
(a) about 50 to 80 weight percent aluminum;(b) about 5 to 25 weight percent chromium; and,(c) about 5 to 25 weight percent nickel. |
