When inspecting for defective portions in a bank, if a defective portion is detected, then the bank is repaired by forming, in each of the adjacent concave spaces on either side of the defective bank, a dam which partitions the concave space into a first space which comprises the portion of space proximate to the defective portion and a second space which comprises the portion of space not proximate to the defective portion. In the position of the lowest height, defining the ratio h/H as the height h of the dam over the height H of the bank and Wμm as the width of the dam, each dam satisfies the conditions 0.5 ≦ (h/H) ≦ 2.0, (h/H) + 0.1W ≧ 1.5, and 5 ≦ W ≦ 50. |
