PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus configured to reduce a radial pattern which appears in a reconstructed image. ! SOLUTION: A PET device, as an image processing apparatus, includes a setting section and a removal section. The setting section sets an origin, an X-axis, a Y-axis, and a polar coordinate system in a reconstructed image. The removal section performs Fourier transform on an angle, acquires a spectrum, generates a correction spectrum by means of a band rejection filter, and performs inverse Fourier transform on the correction spectrum, to remove a radial pattern drawn in the reconstructed image, on the basis of a pixel value distribution of the reconstructed image around the origin. !
