PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy polishing of a frozen road surface. ! SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire 1 for polishing a frozen road surface is used to evaluate braking performance of a tire on an ice. An in-ice braking evaluation method uses the pneumatic tire. Only a plurality of sipes 3 extended in the axial direction of the tire are provided on an outer surface 2S of a tread part 2. Additionally, the in-ice braking evaluation method includes a preparation step S1 of smoothing the frozen road surface, and a step S2 of evaluating the braking performance of the tire, which is an evaluation object, on the smoothed frozen road surface. In the preparation step S1, the pneumatic tire 1 for polishing the frozen road surface is attached to a vehicle, and the vehicle travels on the frozen road surface to make the tire polish the frozen road surface. !
