The present invention relates to the technical field of vanadium battery energy storage system control, in particular to a circuit and adaptive control method for suppressing self-starting surge current of a vanadium battery. The charging internal resistance of the vanadium battery pile in the case of different capacities and voltages is measured in a prior experiment. Before the activation of the vanadium battery, a charger operates in a no-load and voltage regulation state, and the closed-loop regulation output voltage meets the requirement of a circulating system controller. After the vanadium battery is activated, the circulating system controller automatically closes a main switch after completing self-check on the battery, and connects the anode and cathode of the battery pile to the charger; the charger enters a closed loop state and operates in the current limiting mode after detecting an over current signal, the current limiting value being self-adapted to the current voltage of the battery pile; after the peak of the surge current, an auxiliary relay removes inductance, ensuring that DC inductance does not consume the volt-ampere capacity of the system in the normal charging and discharging state. After the completion of battery activation, the charger controls steady charging and discharging of the battery. |
