PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a connection terminal, facilitating positioning control for a resin damming piece part.SOLUTION: A connection terminal includes a terminal connection part 2 to which a mating terminal is to be connected, a wire connection part 10 to which a wire W is connected, a neck part 20 connecting between the terminal connection part 2 and the wire connection part 10. A connection portion between the wire connection part 10 and the wire W is coated with a resin coating part 30. The neck part 20 has a bottom wall 21, and a pair of side walls 22 erected from the bottom wall 21. The pair of side walls 22 have parallel walls 22a having a constant interval. A method for manufacturing the connection terminal includes, when molding the resin coating part 30, setting the connection terminal 1 having the wire W connected thereto to the inside of a mold 60 for molding a resin, and arranging a resin damming piece part 63 of the mold 60 for blocking inflow of the resin to a side of the terminal connection part 2 at a position of the pair of parallel walls 22a of the neck part 20, and holding the wire W and the connection terminal 2 at proper positions by holding parts 64, respectively. |
