PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue phosphorescent light-emitting compound which is suitable for use in an organic light emitting diode (OLED), is solution-processable, and has a long operational life.SOLUTION: A phosphorescent compound is represented by the formula in the figure. [M is a transition metal; L in each occurrence is independently a mono- or poly-dentate ligand; R, R, Rand Rare each independently H or a substituent; Dand Dare each independently a dendron; x is at least 1; y is 0 or a positive integer; z1 and z2 are each independently 0 or a positive integer; and n1 and n2 are each independently 0 or 1 with the proviso that at least one of n1 and n2 is 1. |
