PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine capable of supplying an optimum amount of extracted air for cooling a turbine section to the turbine section.SOLUTION: A gas turbine 1 comprises an extraction cooling system 10 and a control unit 40. The extraction cooling system 10 includes a stationary blade system 20 and a moving blade system 30. The stationary blade system 20 is equipped with an orifice valve 22 and a bypass valve 28 bypassing the orifice valve 22. The moving blade system 30 is equipped with an orifice valve 32 and a bypass valve 38 bypassing the orifice valve 32. The control unit 40 controls openings of the bypass valves 28 and 38, respectively on the basis of at least one of an intake air temperature measured by a compression-unit inlet temperature sensor 3 and an output transmitted from a generator 8.
