an antenna; a circuit coupled to the antenna, the circuit configured to transmit a communication to a base station at a first data rate using at least one of communication channel; the circuit further configured to determine an adjusted data rate desired for support of the communication; and the circuit further configured to transmit the communication to the base station over a second channel at a second data rate, wherein the first data rate is different than the second data rate.
