A protective cover is provided for a remote control device of the type having a plurality of buttons designed to be pressed to perform operations on a remote apparatus. The protective cover includes a rigid skin configured to be secured to the remote control to cover a front of the remote control. The rigid skin includes openings formed therein to selectively reveal certain buttons of the remote control device to be pressed by an operator of the remote control device. The rigid skin is configured to prevent covered buttons from being pressed by the operator. |
