PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a structure capable of preventing moisture from infiltrating so as not to deteriorate an inner oxide superconducting layer.SOLUTION: An oxide superconducting wire comprises: a tape-like oxide superconducting laminate 1 formed by providing an intermediate layer 4 on a front surface side of a tape-like substrate 3, an oxide superconducting layer 5 on the intermediate layer 5, and a protective layer 6 on the oxide superconducting layer; and a covering part comprising a metal tape 2, and a low melting point metal layer 7. The metal tape has a width wider than that of the oxide superconducting laminate, and covers the protective layer side, both side surface sides, and both end parts of the substrate back surface side in a width direction of the oxide superconducting laminate; both end parts in a width direction of the metal tape are provided by covering both end parts of the substrate back surface side; the low melting point metal layer bonds the metal tape and the oxide superconductor laminate together by being filled between the oxide superconducting laminate and the metal tape provided around the oxide superconducting laminate; and a part of the filled low melting point metal layer is formed between both end parts in a width direction of the metal tape. |
