<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of rack fans by preventing an excessive air volume when a heat generation of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) equipment is reduced.SOLUTION: There is provided a forced air cooling type rack having a plurality of rack fans 11 for cooling ICT equipment 20 mounted inside a rack casing 15. The forced air cooling type rack has: a temperature sensor 13 for measuring a temperature inside the rack casing 15; and a fan controller 14 controlling the operation number of the rack fans 11 on the basis of a temperature measurement value measured by the temperature sensor 13 so as to control the temperature inside the rack casing 15 to be constant. When the fan controller 14 reduces the operation number of the rack fans 11 correspondingly to reduction of the temperature measurement value, the fan controller 14 sequentially stops the rack fans 11 during operation in turn from the rack fan 11 present in a position which is distant from an exhaust position of the ICT equipment 20, and at which exhaust of the ICT equipment 20 is difficult to arrive according to preset priority order.</p> |
