<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the quality of sleep by a method which is simple compared to a method using a pulse wave and a pulse interval. <P>SOLUTION: A detecting part 111 detects the angle of a posture and the amount of a body motion by interpreting information when acquiring each of the information transmitted from an acceleration sensor 2. A measurement part 113 measures the pulse rate of a user based on a digital signal transmitted from a photoelectric sensor 3 attached to a finger of the user or the like. A discriminating part 112 discriminates whether the user falls asleep or not by applying a rule stored in a storage part 12. A preprocessing part 114 carries out an operation corresponding to preprocessing based on the pulse rate of the user transmitted from the measurement part 113 when the discriminating part 112 discriminates that the user falls asleep. A determining part 115 refers to the variation speed of the pulse rate described in a sleep state chart 121 stored in the storage part 12, specifies a sleep state corresponding to the calculated variation speed, and evaluates the quality of the sleep. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
