<p>The appliance has a moisture sensor (10) for detecting moisture of linen by resistivity measurement, and a water level sensor (22) provided in a water recovery tank (21). The moisture sensor is electrically powered by a power supply unit (12) isolated galvanically from a power supply unit (14) of the domestic appliance, and is connected to an input (18a) of a microcontroller (18). The water level sensor is electrically connected to the isolated power supply unit, and connected in parallel with the moisture sensor.
