<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire with superior durability that can prevent the occurrence of cracking and peeling of a tie rubber layer in the vicinity of a splice part of a laminate sheet after the start of use of the tire, and to provide a method of manufacturing the pneumatic tire, which includes, as an inner liner layer, a laminate sheet obtained by laminating a tie rubber layer to an air-barrier layer composed of a thermoplastic elastomer composition that comprises either a thermoplastic resin or a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire includes, as an inner liner layer, a laminate sheet obtained by laminating a tie rubber layer to an air-barrier layer composed of a thermoplastic elastomer composition that includes either a thermoplastic resin or a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer. One air-barrier layer of two of the air-barrier layers in the splice part overlapped by laminate sheets is provided with through-holes, the one air-barrier layer being positioned in the inner side of the tire, and cuffs of two tie rubber layers in the splice part directly joins each other via the through-holes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
