A composition comprises polyvinyl chloride and alphamonochloronaphthalene, preferably in a proportion of 5 to 60 per cent by weight of the polyvinyl chloride. The composition may also contain plasticizers which may be anthracene oil, petroleum distillates, tricresyl phosphate, dibutyl phthalate, or triphenyl phosphate, and fillers such as talc, kaolin, ochre, metallic oxides and fibres or grains of leather, cork, asbestos, wood and paper. Dyes may also be incorporated. |
