Tooth prosthesis, denture and related methods

A tooth prosthesis 11 comprises a polymeric material core and attachment post 4, for example of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) repeating units, and has a dental veneer crown bonded to an outer face of the core. The attachment post 4 may be inserted into and ultrasonically welded to a walled female cavity 9 forming part of a dental framework 10 of a denture also formed from the same material as the core. The tooth prostheses may be formed by computer aided milling a blank. The core outer face may be roughened by blasting prior to applying a primer and/or opaque paste bonding layer and polymerisation of a dental veneer in situ.
