PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet that exhibits superior iron loss properties in producing a transformer therewith, in a method for manufacturing a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet, which applies a magnetic domain subdivision treatment to a material by using electron beam irradiation after flattening annealing.SOLUTION: In subjecting a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet slab containing 2.0-4.5 mass% of Si, as a material, to the flattening annealing, the method adjusts each condition of a soaking temperature in annealing the material, a cooling rate in a step of cooling the material from the soaking temperature and a plastic elongation amount of the steel sheet, and controls a reduction in coating tension of a forsteritic coating before and after the flattening annealing treatment to be 60% or less. |
