<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element, a lighting system and a display system which have high emission luminance, high external quantum efficiency, and long lifetime. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element includes a structured layer containing a luminous layer containing at least a phosphorescent compound represented by the following general formula (1), between a pair of electrodes.
