<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial foil bearing which is prevented from seizing by improving cooling performance, degradation in the load capability of which is suppressed by reducing deflection of a top foil and, further the wear of which is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The radial foil bearing is fitted onto a rotation shaft 1 and supports the rotation shaft 1. The radial foil bearing includes a cylindrical top foil 10 arranged opposite to the rotation shaft 1 and a back foil arranged on the radial-direction outer side of the top foil 10. A plurality of oblique grooves 13 which run from the rear side to the front side in the rotation direction of the rotation shaft 1 and each run from the center part in the shaft direction of the top foil 10 to both sides of edge sides are formed on a surface of the top foil 10, opposite to the rotation shaft 1. Land parts 14, 15 are respectively formed between the oblique grooves 13 and between the end part of the edge side of the oblique grooves 13 and the edge of the top foil 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
