The organic electroluminescence element includes: a substrate 1; an organic light emitter 10 formed on a surface of the substrate 1 and including a first electrode 7, an organic light emitting layer 8, and a second electrode 9 in this order; and an enclosing member 2 bonded to the substrate 1 to enclose the organic light emitter 10 by covering it. The element further includes: an extended electrode part 5 electrically connected to the first electrode 7 and/or the second electrode 9 and extending outward across the enclosing member 2 to be on a surface of an end part of the substrate 1; and an electrode piece 3 serving as an interconnection electrode 11 and provided on an opposite side of the enclosing member 2 from the substrate 1. The electrode piece 3 includes an extension part fixed to the extended electrode part 5 to make electric connection between the electrode piece 3 and the extended electrode part 5.
