<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting tire abrasion, capable of detecting an abrasion state of a tire by detecting a skid degree of a vehicle body when a vehicle body runs on a corner. The apparatus for detecting tire abrasion comprises: a steering sensor detecting a target rotation angle value according to an operation of a user; a skid sensor mounted in the tire to detect a stress change value according to skid of a vehicle; a control unit calculating an actual rotation angle value of a vehicle from a stress conversion value received from the skid sensor and determining changing time of a tire by comparing a result value, obtained by reducing the actual rotation angle value from the target rotation angle value, with a preset threshold value; and a display unit displaying changing time when the changing time is determined based on the determination result of the control unit. The apparatus and the method for detecting tire abrasion can detect skid of a vehicle body at the time of cornering, thereby predicting and indicating the time of changing of the tire caused by abrasion of the tire.</p> |
