PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection fitting for connector capable of maintaining desirable contact force.SOLUTION: A terminal fitting W comprises: a cylindrical hollow box 10 having a bottom wall 11, an upper wall 13, and both side walls 12 into which a mating male terminal T is inserted; and an elastic contact piece 14 provided in the box 10 and brought into contact with the male terminal T when the male terminal T is inserted. The elastic contact piece 14 is extended from a front end of the bottom wall 11 and bending toward a rear end side in a U-shaped state. A substantially intermediate point of the elastic contact piece 14 in a lengthwise direction bends in a convex state, nearly in a reverse V-shape toward the upper wall. A free end of the elastic contact piece 14 is slidably supported by an upper surface of the bottom wall, and when the male terminal T is inserted, the free end biases the male terminal T toward the upper wall 13 side and holds the male terminal T between the free end itself and the upper wall 13. In the elastic contact piece 14, a center area 15 including a top part of the reverse V-shape part and a neighboring part thereof is wider than other portions of the elastic contact piece 14 in widthwise.
